Bahnchen: Painting Rock Faces

The rock faces of this little micro layout were made from white Polyfilla.

I couldn’t leave them white – I don’t want it to be a snow scene 🙂

First, a generous spray of Humbrol Primer Number 1.
Then washes with acrylic paints: two lighter greys, a brown, and a black.
Some of the layout will be rough grass. These areas were painted dark brown.
The tunnel mouths were slotted in place, but there was a big gap above this one.
I glued some pieces of cork to a sliver of card.
Then I removed it, painted it, and stuck it in place above the tunnel.
With the rock faces painted, the next step is to add some greenery.
