Cambridge Model Engineering Society, August 2021

This afternoon I popped along to the Cambridge & District Model Engineering Society.

It’s great to see them running again after the Covid lockdowns.

The site is wonderfully well equipped with a level crossing, footbridge, signal boxes and 7¼in, 5in and 3½in gauge tracks.

On the 7¼in today there was a very nice Station Road Steam Stafford, a lovely replica of the Wells and Walsingham Light Railway Garrett No.4 and a charming Southern Railway U Class.

I took a few pictures, ate a doughnut and just soaked up the atmosphere.

Families were picnicking under the trees, there were long queues for the rides and lots of happy children everywhere.

Back to normal 🙂
