The cylinders of the Rheneas chassis need to be bigger if the loco is to pass as a 7mm scale industrial loco.
I had some 7.1mm (9/32″) diameter plastic tube in my ‘box of bits’. By chance, the internal diameter of the tube was a good match to the external diameter of the Rheneas cylinders and the tube could be pushed over the existing cylinders.
It was a simple job to make a groove so they would slide over the cylinder mountings, block one end with a disc of 1mm (40 thou) plasticard and add a few rivets for effect.
The enlarged cylinders certainly have a hefty, industrial feel.
