Essential Painting Tool – Mole Grips

I like the Humbrol Rail Colour range of acrylic paints.

However, after I’ve used a pot a few times I find the lid sets firmly in place making it difficult to remove.

The solution – I keep a pair of mole grips handy. Slight overkill, but they work 🙂

  1. I find that you can stick them between a wooden door and the frame, lightly pull the door to grip the pot and then turn it. Works well for Railmatch paint too.
