Operationally, a brake van proceeding faster that a loco would be dangerous, but in the engineering works it’s OK. The brake van is finished. The Kerr Stuart isn’t.
For the brake van I decided to keep it simple. The CW Railways kit was assembled without any modifications. I added some handrails. These are staples inserted into the pre-existing holes in the kit. The van was painted in Citadel Moot Green, with a Humbrol grey roof and black handrails. I like the bright refreshing green colour. I’ve made some four wheel coaches that I will paint in the same colour.
I rather like the sagging roof. I wish I could say it was deliberate. It is a pleasant accident.
