Sometime ago I brought a nice 3D printed loco body from Pankott Models.
It has been ‘maturing’ in a drawer for a few months.
These’s no point stashing away nice models like this, they need to be built.

I do like coffee stirrers 🙂

one of my favourite recruitment agencies.

As I write this, Pankott Models don’t have this loco for sale. This is a pity because it has loads of character and the quality of the 3D printing is excellent. I hope it will return.
I rarely use black primer. Here I wanted the chassis and footplate to be black so it seemed the easiest option. I hope it’s not too difficult to cover the loco body with a green colour.
The driver looks a bit pale. He’ll need some colour in his cheeks before he can enter service.
So the loco and driver will be sent to the paint shop.
I hope the paint shop posse haven’t skived off early for Christmas!
Looking very interestIng Steve. I like the butchered tank wagon improvisation!
Where did you get the driver from? I have, for reasons I do not really understand, ventured into O9 and need a driver and probably a check on my sanity!

Hi Woody,
No worries, it was hidden in a photo.
I do like the S&D figures, they are slightly chunkier than plastic or 3D printed models, which I like, and they are nicely detailed. Plus, being whitemetal, you get extra weight for the loco, which often helps the running.
I’m pleased to hear you are dipping you toe into O9 🙂
It’s a lot of fun!
What loco did you go for?
All the best

Hi Steve,
I have a SIMPLEX 20/28HP PLATE-FRAME “CARAVAN” NARROW GAUGE LOCO from Floyd Kraemer on eBay. Just ordered three of his hopper wagons to go with it. Superb print, really impressed.A bit on my blog about it https://woodysmodelingdiary.blogspot.com/2024/12/caravan-needs-chassis-to-sit-on-its-own.html
