As I have made all of the structures for the layout, I have been able to position them on the layout and complete the track laying.
This sounds like a rather grand task but in fact the job consisted of laying and wiring up two sidings, each one only roughly 180mm (7 inches) long.
The track plan isn’t anything fancy, it’s essentially an Ingelnook shunting puzzle and a loop. The loop is there so the train can do a ‘victory lap’ when the correct sequence of wagons has been assembled.

Finishing the track did give me the opportunity to run some trains (Yeh!) and I thought I’d post a little video of that!
