Late night surfing on ebay led me to this Meccano Magazine from the early 1960s.

Regular readers will know that I’m rather fond of the Fairbourne Railway locomotive Dingo and this is a super image!

I had to buy the magazine.

I’ve never read the Meccano magazine before. I’d expected it to be all about Meccano, but no. There’s a wide range of articles discussing 1960’s Formula 1 car design, the history of Edison’s electric lamp, model railways (including trackplans) and an article on the Blackpool Tower Circus. It’s a good read, and I can’t think of anything comparable today.

What shall I do with it now ?

I think I will frame it and hang it on the wall so I can admire Dingo whenever I want.
