In February The Festival of British Railway Modelling, a massive exhibition with 30 layouts and over 80 traders and societies, will be held at Doncaster Racecourse (how posh!). There’s lots of information about the exhibition here.
My little layout ‘First’ will be there. I must admit I’ve never even been to an exhibition of this size, let alone exhibited at one that’s this big. It will be a whole new experience for me!
If you’re going to the exhibition, please pop by and say ‘Hello’, it’s always nice to meet people who read this blog.
At less than 3 feet long and 2 feet wide (78 x 58 cm to be precise) ‘First’ might be the smallest layout there, blink and you could miss it 🙂
You’ll be fine. Just make sure you read all the paperwork from the exhibition team so you know how to get in and where the food and drinks are. Apart from that, it’s like any other show once you are inside the barriers!

Hi Phil, Thanks! Actually, I’m really looking forward to the FBRM. As you say, find where the food is… railway modellers run on their stomachs 🙂
