Last year I brought this secondhand O9 scale bulkhead flat wagon. It’s rather nice, but I wasn’t sure what type of load it should carry.

At the O Gauge Guild show Skytrex were selling these stacks of cardboard cartons and I wondered if these would make a suitable load for the wagon.

The smoother sided stacks don’t look right when placed widthwise.

They are too long when placed lengthwise.

Luckily, the more random stacks of cartons are a very good fit.

They would make a really attractive load. In fact, they look so good it has to be done…..

This will give me a break from painting backscenes !
