On Thomas and Sons the back of the yard will be a long factory building. Although it is the biggest structure on the layout it was the easiest to create. It consists of one straight wall and the LCut components were mounted directly onto a flat piece of foam board. Don’t underestimate the size of this building though, the wall is 50cm (19½ inches) long!
Painting followed exactly the same process as the other buildings: initially two coats of Humbrol 121 to give a mortar base colour.
Then dry brushing with Humbrol Brick Red (number 70), twice.
All of the basic shells for the buildings have been created 🙂
Now, I need to fix them to the layout. More soon….
