The Completed SM32 Estate Loco

Over the last few weeks, I’ve been working on my little Estate Loco.

Here are the final steps of the build. Click on an image for a larger version.

When we last saw this loco it was a collection of unpainted sub-assemblies.

I really like this figure, he’s a great choice as the driver for this loco.

Many of the components are removable, allowing me to change the battery and access the motor.

Job done 🙂

I’ve had to learn many new things to create this model, and it’s been an exciting and enjoyable build.

I’m looking forward to making another SM32 loco 🙂

    • Hi Paul, I’m pleased you think it worked out. The original radiator design is nice, it’s just that I wanted to add some more detailing. I agree, it looks far better when it’s painted 🙂

    • Yes, I’m not totally convinced by the 16mm caricature figures. I think I prefer the more lifelike figures, perhaps because that’s what I’ve been using in 00 and O for the last 10 + years and that’s what I’m used to!
