My little two feet by one foot shunting layout, Apadobe Mine, has had a big week.
Firstly, it appeared in the latest issue of the Micro Model Railway Dispatch, a free ezene dedicated to layouts under 4 square feet.
You can download all 18 issues of the Dispatch here. There’s always a diverse range of micro layouts in each issue and its well worth a read.
Secondly, Apadobe Mine went to the 7mm Narrow Gauge Association’s annual exhibition.
I really enjoyed the exhibition. Lots of people stopped for a chat and it was a pleasure talking to you all. Special mention to Stephen Franklin who brought me lunch. Thank you!

That Itsnot Moor layout is gorgeous. That is going to cause some sketching and thinking today.

Hi Chris, Yes it is 🙂 How can a simple ‘tuning fork’ be so attractive ?? The file scale rail, the sleeper spacing and the colouring really make this layout stand out! Juergen’s locos are lovely too, he had two more that I forgot to photograph (kicking myself now…)
The good news, Juergen is thinking of extending the layout 🙂
