Wagon Loads

Ebay is a great source of odds and ends. I probably spend too much time there 🙂

Sometimes it’s useful though. By keeping an eye open and buying things over several weeks I acquired a range of different wagon loads. Click on an image for a larger version.

Potato sacks by Jarvis.
They are very light so I added an offcut of lead to each one.
A little clean up and filler and they are good to go.

Skytrex fruit and veg boxes.
Pretty in primer.
I love painting things like this. Messy fun.
The fruit and veg add a lot of colour.
At first, I forgot the punnets have wooden supports in the corners and I had to repaint the ones on the left.
Job done. A nice variety of different wagon loads.

These are destined for the coffee stirrer wagons.

I’m thinking the different wagons loads would be great for a shunting puzzle. But do I need another shunting puzzle?

  1. ‘But do I need another shunting puzzle?’ I would say you actually need some meat to go with all that veg! Those crates do look really good and a nice painting job on them too. Amazing what is being produced these days and at really keen prices too which makes them affordable as I explain to Mrs. W!

    • Meat with my veg? But Woody I’m a vegetarian !!
      Only joking, I do feel the need to make somewhere for these little babies to run…. bring on the meat 🙂
