Platform Store

Here’s the first thing from my large stash of kits.

422 Modelmaking make a ‘Timber Platelayers’ Hut Kit’. It’s a nice kit but I wondered if could be converted into a simple timber platform store.

The kit normally has a door and a window in the front. I asked 422 to supply me with an additional rear wall instead of the normal front wall.

Here’s the kit bash…. Click on a photo for a larger image.

So far so good. It looks like a simple store, made on the cheap.

The corrugated aluminium comes from a company called Schulcz. It was in my stash but I have absolutely no memory of where or when I brought it (?). It’s rather nice though.

Painting will come later. I will try to paint groups of buildings at the same time so the paintwork appears consistent.

More soon…

  1. Nicely done. The padlock is superb and I like the bolt detail on the roof, correctly placed on the ‘hills’ rather than the ‘valleys’.
