Six Wagons

Six Wagons

Every common carrier wants as much goods traffic as possible. My layout is no exception and so I’ve been building up my stock of goods wagons.

The five wagons on the left were obtained from the 009 Society Sales Stand at various exhibitions over the past 12 months. The 009 Society rummage boxes are always full of interesting and inexpensive items. The wagons weren’t perfect, they were missing couplings or brakes or something, but they were easily fixed. The wagon on the right is a new kit from Parkside Dundas.

I’ve added various loads: coal, milk, beer. In reality the open wagons would probably have been covered with tarpaulins, but sometimes it’s more interesting to be able to see the loads.
