My work took me to Lyon recently. Job done, I had some free time, so I visited Le Petit Train Bleu, a model shop in the center of Lyon. I arrived at 1.30pm but the shop is closed for lunch from 12 to 2pm. (Obvious really, this is France 🙂 ).

Luckily there was a fantastic patisserie virtually next door and it was easy to fill the time (and me!).

Le Petit Train Bleu has friendly staff, a good scenic section and lots of continental HO and N gauge stuff (as you’d expect).

These was no narrow gauge, but they did have a Peco Maudslay Bus kit for 5 Euros or £3.69. Bargain. I think I spent more in the patisserie!
