Springwell: The Packing Shed

Creating buildings from scratch isn’t something I done a lot of.

However, Springwell needs an horticultural packing shed … in 16mm scale.

I’m not sure anyone makes one of those so I guess I will have to do it. Click on a photo to get a larger version.

This is looking like what I had in mind. The sliding doors will give me two positions for wagons in the shunting puzzle.

The mock up is encouraging, I think it’s gonna work.

There’s more to do. The facade will need painting, the sliding doors need tracks and track guards, and a roof is required.

Keep going…

  1. thick art paper usually has a course flat surface good for that kind of wall, just be careful if you add extra paint on top, it can cover the course effect.

    • Hello Henrik, Thank you for the suggestion! Reckon that would work well. Perhaps worth trying for canvas roofs on wagons / coaches too.
I have brought a pot of MIG AMMO Wall Whitewashing texture paint. I will try that on a test piece before deciding what to do.
      All the best
