Recently, I completed my first SM32 locomotive — a Phil Sharples kit for a small estate loco.
I enjoyed the build so much that I decided to make a second one. (Click on an image for a larger view.)

Eagle-eyed readers will notice that it’s very similar to the first loco, but with a number of subtle differences. My aim was to give the impression that both locomotives came from the same manufacturer, but were built at different points in time.
The driver, control panel, and radiator are all different, and I’ve also varied the colour of the footplate and the roof. Plus the number plate has been changed (of course!).
I’m really pleased with the result. There’s a clear family resemblance, but it’s equally obvious that these are two distinct locomotives.
