Bramble Lines O9 Loco Kit Build

Recently, I brought a ‘vintage’ resin kit from the 7mm Narrow Gauge Association secondhand sales. Many thanks to Les for running this service.

The loco was designed to run on a Graham Farish HST power bogie. I modified it to take a modern Kato 11-110 chassis. Otherwise, it was a pretty straightforward build.

I do like the packaging.
Here are the main components with the modified footplate and cut-down Kato chassis
I added a fake engine head to mask the Kato chassis.
The exhaust came from a toy truck.
I used cardboard spacers to position the back wall of the cab.
Some 3D printed controls.
A whitemetal driver with a brass pin added to his foot.
He will stand half in / half out of the cab.
The loco in grey primer. It reminds me of old photos where the locos were painted ‘photographic grey’.

I like this loco, it’s got a lot of character. I’m looking forward to painting it 🙂
