Here’s the little loco in grey primer. The roof and the first rivet transfers were added. An outbreak of spots… All of the rivet transfers applied. Some painting and weathering.Weathering is acrylic paint dry brushed on, then a wash of diluted black.Glazing is pieces of clear plastic. The driver figure was painted and varnished.Driver glued on, insulation tape over the motor, rust dry brushed on the chassis.A piece of laundry ‘colour catcher’ painted brown. The ‘colour catcher’ is to simulate a hessian sack covering the door opening. The completed loco and chassis. You can see the driver… just!
This has been an interesting conversion.
It’s fun to take a 009 kit and turn it into an On18 model 🙂
On reflection, the weathering is a little heavier than I’d intended – I got carried away.
Plus, perhaps, the hessian sacking covering the door could be more crumpled. But I can always do that in the future.
Overall, I’m very happy with the little loco, it’s an interesting addition to the fleet.
