Where the road meets the railway a small crossing is needed. I built one using recycled coffee stirrers from a famous chain of coffee shops. It was very simple to cut them to size.

I have read that some modellers stain wood with coffee to make it look dark and old. When I tested this idea my double shot, decaff, vanilla, soya latte didn’t give the right staining effect. So I just painted the stirrers instead.
