The Granta Valley Railway Cafe (Part 1)

Three years ago at the Bishop Stortford show I brought a laser cut kit from KS Laser Designs. I thought the kit would make a a nice wooden cafe for my tourist line.

I spent a very happy couple of hours starting to build the kit. I must say the kit went together very easily. The instructions are clear, all the parts fitted together without any problems and I didn’t have to file or modify anything to make it fit.

The colour scheme is inspired by the ‘Friends of the Bure Valley Railway‘ shop on Aylsham station.

I haven’t glued the roof in place because I would like to detail the interior at some point in the future. The kit comes with a laser cut worktop that includes a kitchen hob and a sink which is rather fun.

Next step will be to call in the roofers.
