More progress has been made on the yard of the engineering works. The area at the front of the layout, around the yard office, has been completed.

You may wonder why the yard office looks like something from outer space. Phil suggested covering the buildings in tin foil to protect them. It’s a good tip, the foil stays in place much more easily than the cling film. Thanks Phil.

I’ve made the floors in the entrances to the factory buildings too. These are DAS clay with a smooth surface that I will paint to resemble concrete.

There’s more to do. There are a few areas in the yard that need a bit more work and the stone setts between the rails need to be done. It’s definitely moving forward….
