The Bagnall Wing tank is progressing.
I added a few details: handrails and a whistle from Markits, a tool box from a Varikit and a loco jack from RT Models.
Then on to the paintwork. It’s amazing how 3D printed models seem to soak up paint. After three coats of spray primer it was only just beginning to show the colour of the primer. I think I gave it five or six coats of primer before I was satisfied with the coverage.
I decided to keep the loco simple and workman like: a grey livery (Humbrol BR Coach Roof Grey) with red buffer beams (Citadel Mephiston Red).
Work on this loco will pause for a few weeks. I’ve ordered name plates and makers plates. When they arrive I will add them, weather the loco and varnish it.

Bagnall Wing tank is one of my favourite models I am new to 009 and would like to have a go a scratch building one but have not the foggiest about the measurements What did you work out your measurements from ? Perhaps I could use this as my source. Thank You for your time

Hi Bob, I’m pleased you like the Wing Tank. I must admit I didn’t scratchbuild it, so I don’t know the dimensions. I brought the body from Shapeways. The link to the supplier is in this post. If you don’t want to build your own, Minitrains make ready to run Bagnall wing tanks, here’s a link. They seem to be out of stock at the moment but a bit of internet searching may lead you to a shop that has one. Good luck!
